Melissa Mandrusiak, RVT, VTS (SAIM) was born and raised in a small town in Saskatchewan. After graduating from SIAT in Saskatoon in 1989, Melissa moved to Calgary and began working in a private small animal practice for the next several years.
Melissa decided to follow a different path in her career and began working in the ICU department in one of Calgary's Emergency and Specialty practices for the next 2 years. She then transitioned within the same practice into the Internal Medicine Department for 3 years.
In 2010, Melissa came to work for Fish Creek 24 Hr Pet Hospital in the Internal Medicine Department. During this time, she was able to achieve her Technician Specialty in Internal Medicine. Melissa then helped to develop the Triage position at Fish Creek and worked as one of our Triage Technicians for 2 years. She has since helped to develop the Client Care Coordinator position and is currently very happy looking after our patients and clients.
Melissa spends most of her free time with her husband, their dog Millie, and their cat Scout. She loves a good cup of coffee and travelling to the island of Maui.
